Journey Clinical supports group and Couples KAP.
Group KAP can be a powerful modality for healing in community. It can also be much more affordable for your clients while maintaining or even increasing what you can make from a dosing session. In this way, it is a popular modality and often a win-win.
What guidelines do I need to know?
- No more than 4 clients per therapist in a group dosing session -- you may join up with another provider to offer a larger group
-
Groups may be formed for preparation, dosing, and/or integration session: some therapists offer group dosing only, and then do individual integration sessions.
-
Co-create group guidelines with group members and review before each session
- You may consider charging a different rate for group KAP to improve client affordability – if you want to look at some examples you can do so here.

How much should I charge for Group KAP?
This is up to you -- many of our members charge a flat rate for a group dosing session, and reduce the cost for each client participating. For example, if you normally charge $200/ hour, therefore $600 for a dosing session, you might charge each of the 4 members $450 flat rate for the dosing session. Over the course of a full treatment (6-8 dosing sessions) this can save your clients over $1,000, without reducing the compensation you get for your time.
How to refer a client for Group or Couples KAP
Refer each client separately on your Journey Clinical Portal. It is helpful to enter yours clients' intentions for treatment noted in their referral (by you) and client intake form (by the client). Each client will have separate medical consultations at Journey Clinical, where they will be treated as individuals. Couples or groups are welcome to do KAP dosing sessions and integration together, but their assessments at Journey Clinical will be held individually. Each client should have their own Portal account with their KAP sessions documented accordingly.
