How to Refer a Patient to Journey Clinical:
Thank you for deciding to refer a patient to Journey Clinical! Here are the steps you can follow:
- Click on the Refer Client button on the left navigation menu once you're logged into the Journey Clinical Portal
- Scroll down to complete all the mandatory fields in the form (denoted with *) and any additional fields with pertinent information about your client
- Keep in mind, the prescribers will be reviewing this information to consider the dosing and treatment plan
- At the bottom of the form, click the "Submit" button
How to Refer a Colleague to Journey Clinical:
Thank you for deciding to refer a colleague to Journey Clinical! Here are the steps you can follow:
- From the menu on the left-hand side of your Therapist Portal, click on the Community button
- Scroll down the page until you are at the Community Connection section
- If you scroll down a little bit more, you will find the Refer a Colleague announcement
- Click on the Referral Form button
- Enter your information and your colleagues’ information
- Click on the Submit purple button
***Note: you will get a free month of membership applied to your account for every colleague referral that signs up with Journey Clinical
Our team reviews referrals at the end of every month, so please allow at least 30 days for the credit to be applied to your account.
What Happens After I Refer a Patient to Journey Clinical?

Once a member therapist submits the referral form, the client will receive an email inviting them to sign up for the Journey Clinical patient portal, along with a 10-minute survey.
Once logged into their portal, the patient will fill out relevant mental health assessment forms, as well as questions for our prescribers to review. They will then be prompted to schedule an intake consultation with our medical team. Their therapist will be copied on that email.
The client will pay for the cost of an intake consultation ($338) during the scheduling process. This includes the cost of the 60-minute evaluation with a medical team member, KAP medication, shipping, and processing.
If eligible, they are prescribed enough medication for 2 dosing sessions and after their consultation is completed, they will receive an email (with their therapist CC’ed ) including their prescription info and PDF of dosing instructions. KAP medication takes 3-5 business days to process and 2 business days to ship, per OptioRx
Their medication will be shipped directly to their home, and requires their signature upon delivery.
The client will complete two dosing KAP sessions with their member therapist, as well as integration sessions in between dosing sessions.
If additional KAP sessions are desired after completing their first two KAP sessions, the client will schedule a follow up consult with our medical team via their patient portal. The follow up consultation costs $298 and may provide the client with enough medication for up to 6 sessions if they remain eligible for KAP.
If a client is deemed ineligible for KAP treatment, their intake consultation fee can be refunded.
Couples or Groups:
KAP can be very impact for couples or groups. It is helpful to enter yours clients' intentions for treatment noted in their referral (by you) and client intake form (by the client). Each client will have separate medical consultations at Journey Clinical, where they will be treated as individuals. Couples or groups are welcome to do KAP dosing sessions and integration together, but their assessments at Journey Clinical will be held individually. Each client should have their own Portal account with their KAP sessions documented accordingly.
